Our Latest Renovation Project: The Historic Taft Reimagined
The former William Howard Taft School is entering a new era in Syracuse’s Eastwood neighborhood. Backed by a $4.5 million construction loan from the Community Preservation Corporation (CPC), Skinner Properties is transforming the historic building into a thoughtfully designed 28-unit apartment community.
This redevelopment blends preservation with progress—honoring the building’s century-long legacy while delivering high-quality housing to meet growing demand. With additional support from the Onondaga County Housing Initiative Program, the project represents a meaningful investment in Eastwood’s future.

I want to thank you for the excellent job you’ve done managing my rentals. I’ve never felt this organized and worry-free as an owner.
Janice Kraft

People often ask me how we keep our units full and our tenants so happy. Naturally, I tell them it’s because you handle the management.
Doug Fisher

My building is small, but it’s the best-run place on the block. It finally feels like an investment, not a second job.
